Picture an old man in a rocking chair. Creaking weathered boards on his porch as he shifts his weight. Wrestling with the tales of his past. Talkin about the chances he took, the times he missed the good, the bad, the lucky, telling it how it is. His life filled with a rich history that unfolds with each tale. At each stop a choice, which fork to take? As advised on the right turn based on the wrongs that seem so clear. Is this image my conscious or my father before me? Do I see myself giving warnings from after the fact. With every wrong choice Ive made I think Ive known better. A sea of swayed opinions push me back and forth. The rocking chair creaks the boards on the porch.
This song is for my boy. May he walk tall with every choice he makes. I wish the only wrong decision are those not followed through.
lyrics
run wild run free
feels right never beaten
take off ease to speed
run wild run wild run free
take your life dont wait and see
make no time for fantasy
dont doubt you mind
look what its done to them
stay ahead of any scene
they chain your life down to its knees
bored bloody diseased
might catch your eye stares just scream
look what this has done to me
walk tall down the street
reach out for your needs
pass up others in disbelief
walk tall walk tall down the street
take your life dont wait.......
run wild run free
feels right never beaten
take off ease to speed
run wild run wild run free
