As a child I listened to the radio hour after hour. It was the soundtrack to my imagination as I built lands of blocks, books, boxes or Legos. Traveling in matchbox to and from each drama. As I grew older and older it seemed the music grew farther and farther away from me. I'm not blaming the radio for ditching me with its repetition and control I know I just got wiser. Still, I feel like I lost a good friend while its probably the same as it ever was.
lyrics
i stand the street im home for a long time
pushin cars hummin sweet serenades
lost into many a sunset followed by the evening sunrise
but amigo
sound so far away distant dear honest true
never say the same thing twice
innocent yet so far away
reached out for time not to stop
found that peace droning drama
right at first boast with fm stereo
but amigo
grew old grew wise got bored as you waste my time
the only thing i miss are the cars & the streets
thats my problem that i left them behind
but you i did not need
